The idea that I’m playing with is to grab a used server, installing ESX Server, and building virtualised machines\u00a0on it.<\/p>\n
The plan is to replicate everything the NAS currently does, but to replicate it in a more scaleable, faster environment.<\/p>\n
The NAS has 256MB of RAM.<\/p>\n
A decent used server comes with 16GB of RAM.<\/p>\n
And that’s a huge difference.<\/p>\n
